• Theory on the principles of colour and its effects on the human mind reinforced through research, observation, and experimentation. • Terms and definitions relating to colour and the principles and methods of selecting and using colour to achieve a desired effect. • The functions of colour in the built environment • Research and evaluation of the use of colour in interior designs schemes evidenced in references, trade journals, magazines, exhibitions and seminars with particular emphasis on underlying design approaches, philosophies, constraints, influences and areas of innovation. • Application of the colour principals to a self identified residential interior.
