COURSE OBJECTIVES

This subject provides the basic knowledge, skills and understanding required for a student to apply the basic knowledge of lighting design into a self identified residential interior design solution.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The required knowledge to be able to:
• Understand the different types of lighting, their directional purposes and effect to the ambience of an interior space
• Select electrical fittings suited to the design requirements of a self identified residential interior.
• Generate reflected ceiling and electrical drawings with technical data for electrical services
• Select suppliers and contractors dealing in the supply, and installation of electrical services
