IDIS is the only private provider of Interior Design education and training in Singapore.

We offer accredited Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas and also provide a wide range of related short courses.

We are always interested in teachers that can offer us something different, whether it is related to Interior Design, Sketchup or 3D Studio max experience, or anything else related to Interior Design or Decoration specialisations.

Our approach to teaching is referred to as "THE INSPIRATION WAY" and takes place in a simulated design studio context.

» Learning activities all relate to authentic design project professional practices
» Teachers take on the role of Studio Managers
» Students take on the role of the trainee designer in the studio.

STUDIO MANAGER (part time/full time)

REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be Singaporean, PRs or hold relevant residence status and possess the following:

A degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Exhibition Design or equivalent
or
A minimum of 5 years working as a design manager or design project leader.

A practical working knowledge and experience in the use of digital technologies for design development and documentation eg 3Ds Max, AutoCAD, Sketchup or Photoshop
» Demonstrated commitment to Inspiration's vision, mission and strategic goals in the delivery of Inspiration programs.
» Demonstrated content knowledge of the program and monitoring strategies, which enable students to achieve their full potential.
» Ability to utilize a range of teaching and learning strategies to maintain student attendance and monitor student progress.
» Demonstrated organisational skills and commitment to deliver the program, undertake student assessment, and submit progress reports on time and according to requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1.   Take responsibility for the delivery of a program.
2.   Teach according to the curriculum outline.
3.   Monitor class progress against objectives.
4.   Maintain positive learning environment appropriate to Inspiration's ethos.
5.   Maintain at least 90% of student attendance in each class.
6.   Produce supplementary teaching resources.
7.   Monitor student academic performance against outcomes.
8.   Undertake fair and equitable assessment of students.
9.   Submit student academic progress to academic director.
10. Contribute to the curriculum development and general administration needs of the       program as required.
