COURSE OBJECTIVES

Explore applied design principles in a study of styles and their application to Interiors.

Provide students with knowledge, skills and attitude required to increase the range and variety of creative options in the process of conceptualising, developing and justifying creative concepts for interior design projects.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Produce a cohesive, creative and distinctive Interior Design solution for a self identified Interior Design project.
• Develop design investigation and research skills, including observation and recording skills to source information that will inform design style concept development and justification.
• Develop and apply criteria to analyse and critically evaluate selected style decisions.
