The Academic Department

Inspiration¡¯s Academic Department consists of a team of dedicated lecturers and academic consultants, all with more than 5 years of professional experience, who develop and deliver lessons according to course outlines approved by the Academic and Examination Board. The Department strives to stay relevant to industry practices through research and constant review and updating of its pool of teaching resources for classroom use.

In view of the fact that they would be the most cognizant of students¡¯ performance and abilities, teaching staff are also tasked to provide career guidance and establish contacts for liaison within the local design industry where graduates are expected to be employed.

ELSIE G. SESE

Academic Consultant

Ms. Sese possesses more than 15 years of experience as an interior design project manager responsible for the design, documentation and administration of the interior design fit for various hospitality, resorts and large-scale development projects. Some of these development projects include National Cancer Centre, Sun Plaza Condominium, Grandlink Square Condominium, Grand Park Hotel as well as Medufushi Island Resort and Filitheyo Island Resort (Maldives). She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of Santo Tomas.

She is currently the Academic Consultant for Inspiration Design International School and a part-time lecturer on the Advanced Diploma/Diploma/ Certificate programmes, for which she teaches the following subjects:

GENE ROSE J. E. PASION
BSc University of Santo Tomas (UST, Manila)
Acting Academic Manager,
Design Lecturer

Ms. Pasion is a professional interior designer as well as a creative designer with more than 10 years of experience in the fields of advertising, exhibition, retail, residential and graphic design. She attained a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design at the prominent University of Santo Tomas where she garnered class A grades.

Ms. Pasion has received numerous accolades for her contributions to the sales, marketing and administrative aspects of the local and international companies she has worked for. She previously worked with professionals to facilitate the development of projects for Octanorm, Zongshen, Cemex, PLDT, Billy Bombers, MTM skincare, Guess, Tag Heuer, Ball, Chingay and Far East Organization. In addition, she possesses Autodesk certification expertise in 3D programs, Visual Painting and Commercial Photography skills that supplement her teaching of design concepts.

At Inspiration Design International School, she is the Acting Academic Manager and a full-time lecturer on the Advanced Diploma/ Diploma/Certificate programmes for which she teaches the following subjects:

MARGARET GOH AIK SUAN

Design Lecturer

Ms. Goh has been a professional interior designer for more than 10 years and has handled multiple large-scale commercial projects. She worked with professionals to facilitate the development of local and international projects for companies like NOL, APL, American Eagle Tanker, DBS Office Towers, Sun Microsystem, PWC and Philip Electrical. She has since been practicing in renowned design consultancy firms after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from RMIT.

ALLY WANG YI DAN

Ms. Wang has had more than 5 years of experience in Inspiration Design International School teaching the use of Computer Aided Design software. She also shares with her students valuable ongoing industry experience as a designer of a company named In Design Haus. She received her Advanced Diploma in Interior Design from the Canberra Institute of Technology and later graduated with a Bachelor in Interior Design from the University of Canberra.

PETER TAN KHIAW PIAN
MSc Strathclyde
Design Lecturer

Mr. Tan graduated with a Master of Science in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde in 2000 and is equipped with more than 25 years of experience in the design industry, including work in trade exhibition, building signage and commercial design. Design projects he has handled include those for Takashimaya S. Pte. Ltd., Resort World Singapore, Cellini Design Centre, Pico Art International and Kenwood. He has also managed sales negotiation and marketing as well as business development.

Serving as an associate at Teckoglass Design Pte. Ltd, his specialization in art-glass design has proven to be an asset for Inspiration Design International School and its students. He has lectured for Raffles Lasalle Int'l Design School at both diploma and degree levels.

MOHAMAD AZLEE BIN ABDUL RAHMAN
MA BA (Hons) Curtin
CAD Lecturer

Mr. Mohamad Azlee has had more than 20 years of experience running companies in the graphic art and advertising industry, where he served as a creative director as well as project development manager. Having designed and developed a number of websites for 10 years, he has garnered valuable experience bringing programmes to life in traditional and digital medias. His teaching experience includes lecturing at Curtin University, Lasalle College of Fine Arts and Republic Polytechnic. In addition, he is also an expert in digital illustration and animation. He obtained first class honours on his Bachelor of Arts in Design and Master of Arts in Design (Multimedia) from Curtin University of Technology.
