COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course allows students to learn the concept and articulate awareness of 2D animation, its techniques and processes and possibilities as a communication tool.

WHAT DO YOU ACHIEVE?

Students will be able to use Flash as an animation and web design tool and use correct animation techniques to plan and produce an animated sequence applying traditional and digital techniques.

PROJECT REVIEW/ASSESSMENT

At the end of each course, students have to produce projects based on the objectives of the course. These projects help to reinforce the techniques taught in the module and will be used to determine, if the students have reached the required level of proficiency to proceed to the next module. Through these assessments students will acquire first-hand experience in producing animation projects.

  • Introduction to Flash as a graphic and animation utility
  • Work samples created with Flash
  • Drawing tools, fills and gradients
  • Introduction to the Flash interface and tools. This will include windows, tools and menus.
  • Import and export graphics. Importing different file formats into the flash library and exporting into different file formats
  • Introduction to the animation tools - tweening
  • Basic animation techniques in Flash
