Transfer & Withdrawal Policy

Transfer

Definition :

  • A student enrolled in another school who wishes to transfer into Inspiration;
  • An Inspiration student who wishes to transfer from one Course to another within the School.
All applications for transfers must be in writing and supported by the necessary documents.

The date of notification is the date when written notice is received by the School. Proof of postage by the student is not proof of receipt by the School.

All transfers are subject to the School's refund policies. Please refer to the Inspiration Standard Student Contract.

Procedures

Any Student who wishes to transfer to another Course within the School must submit a Student Request Form to the Front Desk with reasons stated clearly.

Transfer is only possible if a vacancy exists in the Course the student wishes to transfer to, and if the student is considered suitable for the new Course.

Once transfer is approved by the School, the Course Consultant will assist the Student with the re-application process to Immigration Check-point Authority (ICA) of Singapore for a new Student Pass reflecting the new Course enrolled in.

Deemed Withdrawal

Any student who transfers from one Course to another Course with the School shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Course and the refund schedule stated below shall apply unless otherwise agreed between the School and the Student.

Withdrawals

Definition :

  • An Inspiration student who decides not to complete his/her course of study for whatever reasons. The student will be considered to have terminated his course of study and withdrawn from the school.
All applications for course withdrawals must be in writing and supported by the necessary documents.

The date of notification is the date when written notice is received by the school. Proof of postage by the student is not proof of receipt by the school.

The School will send the Student Pass Cancellation letter to ICA for International Students who withdraw from the Course. Such students are required to surrender their Student Pass to ICA within two weeks from the date of the Student Pass cancellation.

All withdrawals are subject to the following refund policies with references made to the Standard Student Contract (SSC):

1. Withdrawal with Cause

Subject to Clause 7 of the SSC, the Student is entitled to immediately withdraw from the Course and apply for a full refund, by giving written notice to the school of his/her intention to do so under the following circumstances:
    1. The School is unable to provide the course for which the student has applied for
    2. The School fails, for any reason, to commence the Course on the Commencement Date
    3. The School fails, for any reason, to complete the Course by the Completion Date
    4. The School terminates the Course for any reason prior to the completion of the Course, or
    5. International applicant is unable to obtain a Student Pass to study in Singapore
Under such circumstances, the Student will get full refund of his/her Tuition Fees, Non-Tuition Fees, Deposit and/or Additional Fees no more than fourteen (14) days after the PEO receive such withdrawal notice.

2. Withdrawal Without Cause

Where the Student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those set out above, the School shall, after receiving written notice of withdrawal from the Student, within fourteen (14) working days, refund to the Student the entire amount (100%) of the Deposit (less all amounts which the PEO is entitled to deduct in accordance with Clause 1.9 of SSC) together with the following sums (less any applicable bank charges paid/payable under Clause 3 of SSC):

Deferments

Any Student who wishes to defer the whole Course, or the remaining part of the Course, must send a letter or submit a Student Request Form to the School stating the reasons.

  • The date of notification is the date when the application is received by the school. Proof of postage by the student is not proof of receipt by the school.
  • An applicant who has signed up for a course but is unable to join on the commencement date, is allowed to defer the course for a maximum period of ONE year starting from the date of enrolment. After the one year grace period, the applicant will have to re-enrol and pay the registration fee and deposit again.
  • For current students who wish to defer their next course module, the ONE year grace period begins from the commencement date of the deferred module.
